An element of the Ogle Foundation’s mission is to promote strong regional ties. No issue is more central to regional strength and development than the Ohio River bridges project.

The bridges project has been subject to more than a decade of engineering, environmental and traffic studies and after federal approval in 2006 actual construction is expected to begin this year. A tentative financing plan, heavily reliant on electronic tolls, has been approved by the various state and local government authorities. Yet, the Ogle Foundation is not aware of any available study of public opinion regarding the bridges project as planned, not the financing vehicle endorsed by policy makers.

The Ogle foundation seeks to fill this important gap in the process by surveying the public and analyzing the results based on their likely usage of the local bridge system.
